Voyager 2 was launched by NASA in 1977. Its purpose was to find out about the planets outside the solar system. Currently it is 19.9 billion kilometers away from us. Several commands were sent to the spaceship on July 21. Because of these, its antenna had turned 2 degrees in a different direction from the direction of the earth. After which the spaceship was not successful in sending and receiving signals. After that Voyager 2 was prepared for automated re-alignment.
Welcome back, Voyager 2.@NASA has reestablished full communications with Voyager 2. We shouted 12.5 billion miles (19.9 billion km) into interstellar space, instructing it to turn its antenna back to Earth – and after 37 hours, we found out it worked! https://t.co/wQh5JfmLfP

On Tuesday, scientists, with the help of several observatories, prepared a Deep Space Network (DSN) so that any kind of signal coming from Voyager could be received. However, this signal was so weak that it was not possible to read the data being received through it. Now NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory has given a new update, in which it is said that it has succeeded in setting Voyager in the right direction. It was called ‘Interstellar Shout’ which took 18.5 hours to reach Voyager. Whereas the scientists who were controlling this mission took 37 hours to find out whether the command had done its job for Voyager or not.
It started sending data on August 4. This allowed scientists to know that it was functioning normally, and moving on its predicted trajectory. In December 2018, it left its protective magnetic shield. Now it is moving ahead in its journey among the stars. Before exiting the solar system, it explored Jupiter and Saturn. This is the first spacecraft to reach Uranus and Neptune.
