According to JPL, today the 2023 HO18 asteroid is going to come close to the Earth. This is a 93 feet piece of rock which is as big as a big airplane. NASA has said that when the 2023 HO18 asteroid will be at its closest point to the Earth, its distance will be only 467,000 kilometers from here. This distance is very small in comparison to the solar system.

Apart from this, 2 more asteroids are moving towards the Earth today and will pass near it. The name of one of these is 2023 JR2 asteroid. It is a 120 feet celestial body which is the size of a large airplane. It is going to pass through a distance of 6,510,000 kilometers from the Earth. Its speed is said to be 27287 kilometers per hour. If a piece of rock hits the earth at such a high speed, it can cause great destruction. However, NASA has not released any information about this asteroid hitting the Earth.

The danger is not going to end here. On June 4 itself, an asteroid named 2023 JE5 is also going to pass close to the Earth. Its size is 110 feet. The distance of the 2023 JE5 asteroid at its closest approach to Earth is said to be 6,750,000 kilometers. If any of these asteroids collides with the Earth, it can cause major destruction on the Earth. Even though NASA has not yet issued a warning of any such danger. Still, space scientists cannot rest easy about asteroids, because they can change their direction at any time.
