490 Foot Wide Asteroid 2022 WN4 will come close towards earth today says Nasa

Earth has recently encountered an asteroid the size of a river bridge. These rocky calamities coming close to the earth sometimes worry scientists. If the asteroid changes its direction and its focus is towards the Earth, then it is a troublesome thing. There can be major devastation if an asteroid hits the Earth. Today i.e. on Tuesday, another asteroid can become a challenge for the Earth. The asteroid named (2022 WN4) is included in the category of potentially dangerous for our planet.

NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory told That asteroid (2022 WN4) is as big as a building. Its size can be 490 feet. When it comes close to the Earth, the distance between the two will be 41 lakh 40 thousand kilometers. It belongs to the Apollo Group of Asteroids. Scientists will monitor this asteroid until it moves away from the Earth. There is no possibility of this asteroid colliding with the Earth.

It is believed that millions of years ago, dinosaurs were wiped out from our earth due to the huge impact caused by an asteroid collision. There have also been such incidents when the asteroid’s approach to the Earth was detected only at the end, because due to being hidden in the glare of the Sun, the asteroid remained undetected by telescopes.

Asteroids are also called minor planets. Just as all the planets in our solar system revolve around the Sun, similarly asteroids also revolve around the Sun. Asteroids are rocky remnants left over from the early formation of our solar system about 4.6 billion years ago. Scientists have so far detected 11 lakh 13 thousand 527 asteroids.
