Google Doodle Leap Day Why February 29 come every fourth year
Google’s doodle The Google logo is shown in small relief in the background of a pond with stones and leaves in it. The doodle depicts an entertaining scene with a message. The animation reads “Horrible news, it’s Leap Day! Leap Day, February 29, is celebrated approximately every 4 years to keep our calendar aligned with the Earth and the Sun. Enjoy this extra day of February – Happy Leap Day
This creative work by Google has shown the need for leap days in the accuracy of our calendar system. This ensures how the Earth revolves around the Sun. Leap Day comes from the Julian calendar, which was used in 46 BC. The Julian calendar did not take into account that the Earth takes a little more than 365 days to revolve around the Sun. Without Leap Day, our seasons would slowly begin to change, getting earlier and earlier each year, which could make things crazy.
