Bharti Airtel, Reliance Jio 5G Network Speeds Decline Due to Congestion on Network!
According to a report by independent analytics firm OpenSignal, Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio The speed of 5G network has reduced significantly. The major reason behind this is the congestion on the network due to the rapid increase in the number of 5G subscribers and high consumption of data per 5G subscriber. Bharti Airtel became the best 5G experience provider in the country due to the fastest download and upload speed of its 5G network. Reliance Jio won the Consistent Quality Award by achieving a score of 66.5 percent. OpenSignal’s analysis showed that only 16 percent of 5G connections use low-band (700 MHz) spectrum. This spectrum provides more coverage but it limits speeds. However, other connections use the mid-band 3.5 GHz spectrum.
Airtel holds the first position in the country’s 5G market in many categories including download speed, upload speed, live video, video streaming and gaming. The company uses the Non-Standalone Access (NSA) process. In this process, 5G technology is implemented on the existing 4G infrastructure. In this way, 5G can be launched soon in urban areas. Airtel is also improving its 4G infrastructure. It has prepared to build about three lakh new base stations in the next three years.
Reliance Jio is behind Airtel in many categories. However, this company has retained the Consistent Quality Award with a score of 66.5 percent. Airtel may soon buy the direct-to-home (DTH) business of Tata Play. Talks are going on between the two companies for this. However, Tata Play’s DTH service is running in loss. Buying this business will increase Airtel’s presence in the digital TV segment. The company is facing competition from operators like DishTV in this segment.
