NASA keeps tracking the asteroid continuously, because according to NASA, when an asteroid starts coming closer to the Earth from a certain distance, then it carries with it a danger. NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory Has issued alert for 3 asteroids today. The first of these is asteroid 2023 KU2 which is a 37 feet piece of rock. Coming towards the Earth, it is going to pass at a distance of 1,090,000 kilometers from it. Its size is like a big bus.
The second asteroid is 2023 KV2, which is moving towards Earth today. Its size is 73 feet. Asteroids move at a speed of thousands of kilometers per hour. Therefore, the higher their speed, the more dangerous they are considered. The speed of Asteroid 2023 KV2 is also very high. It is going to pass at a distance of just 25 lakh kilometers from the Earth. JPL has said that when this asteroid will be closest to the Earth, the distance between them will be only 2,550,000 kilometers.
NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory has also issued an alert for a third asteroid today. This alert is issued only when an asteroid enters within the range of 75 lakh kilometers. Asteroid 2023 JZ3 is also one such asteroid which can prove to be a threat to the Earth today. Its size is 78 feet. This is the largest rock piece among these three. When it reaches closest to the Earth, the distance between the Earth and this rock will be only 5,440,000 kilometers. The chances of an asteroid hitting the Earth directly are negligible. NASA has not released any information about any of these three asteroids directly hitting the Earth. But they are tracked as a precaution, because they can change their direction at any time.
