Asteroid 2023 HY3 will come close to earth today with a speed of 23596 Km says Nasa

Monitoring of asteroids is important because their direction can change at any time. If an asteroid deviates from its path and collides with the Earth, it can cause major destruction. Scientists have always believed that dinosaurs were wiped out from our Earth millions of years ago due to the destruction caused by an asteroid collision.
NASA has told It is said that 2023 HY3, coming close to the Earth today, belongs to the Amor group of asteroids. They come close to the Earth, but do not cross the Earth’s orbit. Most of the asteroids in this group cross the orbit of Mars.
Apart from this, NASA has also told about two more asteroids. These are- 2023 HV and 2018 VS6. Both are the size of a house. Asteroid 2023 HV will pass through the Earth at a distance of about 13 lakh kilometers. At the same time, 2018 VS6 will cover a distance of approximately 20 lakh kilometers. The US space agency tracks asteroids that pass through the Earth at a distance of 7.5 million kilometers or less.
Asteroids are also called minor planets. Just as all the planets in our solar system revolve around the Sun, similarly asteroids also revolve around the Sun. Asteroids are rocky remnants left over from the early formation of our solar system about 4.6 billion years ago. When an asteroid is discovered, it is named by the International Astronomical Union Committee.
