NASA Perseverance Mars Rover Lost Pet Rock After More Than A Year latest image revealed

NASA’s Perseverance Rover has reportedly lost the stone with which it was roaming for the last one year. Doctor Gweneil Caravaca, in charge of the SuperCam installed on the rover, has said that the recent picture sent by the rover shows that it has lost its ‘companion’ stone. “Perseverance dug up its stone friend,” Caravaca said in a tweet.
Farewell “Rock Friend” 🫂
We found out in latest Hazcam we have lost our pet rock in the front left wheel of @NASAPersevere
It spent 427 Sols with us (more than an Earth year!), and traveled about 10 km since Sol 341😳

This stone was first seen in February 2022. It was maintaining its place in the left wheel of the rover. It remained on the rover for a long time. Although the Perseverance Rover has to collect 30 rock samples from the surface of Mars, apart from this it will also bring soil samples from there. It is expected that in 2030 it will return to Earth with these samples and then their lab testing will begin.
It is said about this NASA rover that it is the size of an SUV. Its weight is around 1 ton. The rover has a 7 feet long robotic arm. It has 19 cameras, 2 microphones and many other tools which will be useful in its journey.
