According to the information, the pictures were captured with the help of the satellite’s Ocean Color Monitor (OCM). Every continent can be seen in the pictures. It also shows what our planet was like between 1st and 15th February 2023. Some interesting information has also come to light about the pictures.
ISRO has said that it prepared these pictures after combining 2,939 images and processing 300GB of data. The space agency has said that these pictures provide information about global vegetation cover on land and oceans. The Ocean Color Monitor installed in the satellite can understand the Earth in detail.

It is said that Oceansat-3 is a type of nanosatellite. It was deployed last year. There are three major instruments installed in the satellite. These include- Ocean Color Monitor (OCM-3), Sea Surface Temperature Monitor (SSTM), Ku-band Scatterometer (SCAT-3). Apart from this, ARGOS system is also included in this satellite.
The pictures shared by ISRO of Earth and India are being liked a lot. Users on social media are expressing surprise after seeing these pictures. People said that the pictures are really amazing. Recently, NASA had shared an old picture of Earth in one of its tweets. It was explained through the picture how our planet looks at night. Through lighting, it was explained where there is human presence on Earth.
