Global Warming: To save the world from destruction, scientists are preparing to cool the sun!

The only planet in the solar system on which life is found is now moving towards becoming a hot furnace. Our earth is warming very fast. We have been seeing an example of this in the form of seasonal cycles changing every year. The winter season is not over yet in North India but the temperature has started showing its colors. These days, February, which gives a feeling of sweet cold, has lost its beauty with the temperature being 27 degrees. This is happening not only in India, but in every part of the world. The weather has changed its mood and now people are witnessing floods, cyclones, storms, snowfall and scorching heat.

To prevent the warming earth from becoming a furnace of fire, scientists have now embarked on a different path. Trying to control the increasing pollution and reducing the amount of carbon dioxide may not save the world from destruction so quickly, but what if the heat coming from the sun is reduced? This sounds quite simple. This is called Solar Geoengineering. Research on this has also started. What is solar geoengineering, we tell you in detail.

Scientists around the world are working on technology that will harness the sun’s heat. It is as if a cloud of ash emanating from a volcano blocks the incoming rays of the sun from falling on the earth. With this, an effort will be made to allow less heat from the sun’s rays to reach the earth. The research is based on the principle that with the help of planes and big balloons, sulfur will be sprayed in the layer of the earth’s atmosphere called the stratosphere, which will reflect the sun’s rays and the sun will reach the earth. Less heat will be able to reach inside. This will help in keeping the rising temperature of the earth low. It is being said that this process will be successful in giving results very quickly. Instead of shifting the entire world to a carbon-free fossil fuel ecosystem.

One of Reuters Report According to, in this direction Degrees Initiative An NGO called has made a lot of progress and has said that around 9 lakh dollars will be provided funding for research on this. In which researchers from 15 countries will be involved which also includes names like Nigeria, Chile and India. It is also called Solar Radiation Modification (SRM). Through this funding, all expenses will be spent on computer modeling of this process and study. As simple and effective as solar geoengineering sounds, it is said to have many risks associated with it.

The report says that solar radiation modification can also affect our climate system. Due to which everything from monsoon, storms, heat waves and biodiversity etc. can be affected. Due to this, drought in countries like South Africa can become more severe. Or the production of rice and maize in the Philippines may also be badly affected. Universities like Harvard and Oxford are also busy in this research. There has been opposition to it in many parts of the world because on one hand this research will reduce global warming, on the other hand it is also likely to have a very deep impact on the climate system.
