India tested hypersonic weapon with speed of 7500km/h, will save the enemy!
The Hypersonic Technology Demonstrator Vehicle (HSTDV) is a missile-like weapon designed to fly at hypersonic speeds. (Hypersonic objects are said to be five times faster than the speed of sound) In an update from ANI, quoting defense sources, information about its successful test was given. Even before this, it was tested in 2019, which was its first test. In fact, in 2008, former DRDO Chief VK Saraswat had said that the objective of this project was to show the capability of the scram jet engine and how a scram jet engine performs at an altitude of 15 to 20 kilometers. With the help of this engine, this vehicle can fly at a speed of 7408 kilometers per hour i.e. about 7500km/h.

A scramjet engine is an engine that can operate at hypersonic speeds. Like a normal jet engine, it is filled with fuel, but the special thing about it is that it uses oxygen from the atmosphere to burn that fuel. Besides, it compresses the oxygen entering inside it due to its speed. After which it gets compressed and reaches the combustion chamber.
Therefore, its principle of flying becomes such that its engine starts only after it reaches a certain speed. Before starting the engine, it is usually brought to a speed just like a rocket engine. Both fuel and oxidizer are present in a normal rocket engine, but only fuel is present in this supersonic weapon. Therefore it can fly only in an environment where there is sufficient amount of atmospheric oxygen. The purpose of testing HSTDV is that in the coming time, India can make a supersonic missile from it.
