Link Aadhaar number with IRCTC account like this

Till now you and I could book maximum 6 online tickets in a month from our IRCTC account. But Indian Railways has increased the monthly limit for booking tickets online from 6 to 12. To do this you will have to link your IRCTC account with Aadhaar Card. How can IRCTC account be linked to Aadhar card? Let’s find out.

How to link IRCTC with Aadhaar

1. First of all go to IRCTC website. After this log in with your ID. After this go to MyProfile tab.

2. Select Aadhaar KYC here.

3. After this, on the next page you will be asked for your Aadhaar number.

4. Now a one-time password will be sent to the mobile number registered with your Aadhaar Card. This OTP will be used for verification. At the bottom of the page you will see some details of your Aadhar card. After this click on Verify shown below.

5. After this the message will come…”KYC details have been updated successfully.

6. But this is not enough to book more than 6 tickets in a month.
Railways says that to book a ticket, the profile of a passenger should also be verified with Aadhaar. This is where the master list will be useful to you.

7. The master list is also available in the My Profile tab. Here you will have to update the master list by giving the name of the passenger and Aadhar card details.

8. If a passenger’s name is already in the master list, then edit his profile and enter the Aadhaar number in the ID.

9. Please note that the masterlist has to be updated before booking tickets online. Only then will you be able to book more than 6 tickets.

That’s it. Now you will be able to book more than 6 tickets every month from the IRCTC website in this way.
