Realme U1 | 8 | Rs 8,499 |
Redmi 8 | 7 | Rs 8,999 |
Realme 5i
realme 5i Once again it has become a part of this list. But the price of the device is no longer the same. The price of Realme 5i at the time of launch was Rs 8,999. But after the change in GCT rates, the price of this handset has increased. The price of 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage variant of Realme 5i now starts at Rs 9,999, while the price of 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage variant has become Rs 10,999.
Realme 5i was launched in early 2020. It comes with a new design and it is attractive too. It has four rear cameras on the back. We found its primary camera completely capable. Especially during the day, but details could have been better. Realme 5i has an ultra-wide-angle camera, due to which a wide field of view is available. But the level of detail is nothing special, especially compared to the primary camera. Close up shots were good, but performance in low light was disappointing.
The battery life of Realme 5i is strong. But no fast charger is provided in it.
Samsung Galaxy M30
samsung galaxy m30 The smartphone is about a year old and due to several price cuts, it has become a part of the Rs 10,000 price segment. It comes with a full-HD+ AMOLED display, which is not common for this price range. The Samsung Galaxy M30 is made of plastic, but it feels like a solid build. Samsung sells this phone in many color gradients.
The Exynos 7904 processor has been used in the Samsung Galaxy M30, which is not the most powerful processor in this price range. You get two variants based on RAM and storage – 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage.
We liked the battery life of this phone, but the charging speed is very slow. The user interface is clean and easy to use. We found the triple rear camera setup of the Samsung Galaxy M30 to be decent. It took good pictures in daylight. But the performance could have been better in low light. Today, you will get the starting variant of Samsung Galaxy M30 for less than Rs 10,000.
Realme U1
realme u1 Another handset that became affordable with the passage of time. This phone is a bit old, but is still usable. The specification of the device is eye-catching. Realme U1 comes with a full-HD+ display which is not common in this price range.
MediaTek Helio P70 processor has been used in Realme U1. It is capable of giving strong performance. It has a dual camera setup and takes decent pictures in daylight. Its performance in low light disappointed us. Autofocus is also not very fast. The 25-megapixel camera given in Realme U1 takes good pictures in daylight. But the performance in low light is not commendable.
Redmi 8
redmi 8 Earlier it was part of the list of best smartphones available for less than Rs 8,000. But after the change in GCT rates it has become a part of this segment. The build quality of Redmi 8, launched as an upgrade to Redmi 7, is good. The design is also beautiful and it has a USB Type-C port. Apart from this, the handset also supports 18 watt fast charging.
You get an HD+ screen in Redmi 8, but its processor is a little weaker than Redmi 7. You will be able to play games on this phone. But its performance will lag in games with more powerful graphics. Camera performance is the same as other handsets.
Only one variant of Xiaomi Redmi 8 is available in the sale. It comes with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage and is priced at Rs 8,999.
