Meta whatsapp confirmed the hack attempt on journalists Civil Society Members by Israeli Spyware Zero Attack
The Guardian’s Report It is reported that META on Friday alleged that about 100 journalists and other members of the civil society used by META -owned messaging platform Whatsapp were targeted by Spieware owned by Paragon, an Israeli manufacturer manufactured hacking software. WhatsApp told Publication that journalists and other members were being alerted about their device’s possible agreement. Not only this, the platform claimed that it was “high confidence” that 90 of these users were targeted and “possibly compromised”.

The report further states that experts say that targeting was a “zero-click” attack, which means that the target will not have to click on any malicious link to get infected. However, whatsapp did not tell the publication that journalists and civil society were located in America and where they lived.
WhatsApp is currently informing the alleged hacking’s wickets, which will be contacted by WhatsApp. Paragon Solutions have allegedly refused to answer the questions asked by the publication.
