India gears up for 6g five times faster speed ai communication improved battery backup

India is actively preparing for 6G, which is expected to improve 100 times faster than 5G and improve battery backup. With 5G already covering 99% of the country, the government is rapidly promoting 6G development. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, while emphasizing the need for digital advancement, said that India aims to become the third largest economy by 2027. The India 6G Alliance, set by DOT in 2023, aims to promote 6G innovation by uniting startups, companies and manufacturers. It has been claimed that 6G can give speed of up to 100Mbps, which will increase internet connectivity significantly.

According to Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia (Via Timesbull), India can become the third largest economy by exiting Japan and Germany by 2027. In such a situation, the country needs to be digitally strong and advanced. The Union Minister assured that the country is moving fast in this matter. It was also reported that India launched 5G in a record 22 months, which was the fastest in the world. It currently covers about 99 percent of the country’s area.

According to Mr. Scindia, the government is promoting 6G technology. It is being claimed that with the help of 6G technology, the user can get 100Mbps data speed. Internet speed will increase by 5 times. According to Jyotiraditya Scindia, about 10 years ago, internet speed in India used to be 1.5 Mbps.

For this, the Department of Telecommunications (DOT) has already formed a 6G Alliance. It aims to promote the design, development and deployment of 6G technology by bringing Indian startups, companies and manufacturers together. It was formed in 2023. The 6G network will integrate satellite connectivity and AI-driving communication. This will also improve the battery backup, as the sensor-based network will be activated only when the device is in use.

In an interview last year, the Union Minister said that the country’s pace was slow in 3G, the country was run with the world in 4G and 5G and the country in 6G has the ability to lead the world. He had told that the cost of 1GB of data which was once 287 rupees, has now come down to nine rupees. This is a big change. However, since then telecom companies have also increased a major increase in tariffs one after the other.
