These may include the country’s largest telecom company Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel. These companies can increase the price of recharge plans with mid to high price. Telecom companies have received around 74 lakh new active subscribers in May. This is a record number of new active subscribers in 29 months. Due to this, the total number of subscribers has increased to about 1.08 billion.

In this report, an executive associated with the industry has been quoted as saying that the record increase in the number of active subscribers in May is the need of a secondary SIM for the customers. However, the telecom companies are not considering making the low -price recharge plan expensive as it will fears to shift to other telecom companies of the customers. However, it is not known how telecom companies will decide the categories of users. For this, parameters such as the use of data and data speed can be considered.

Last year, after increasing the tariffs of private telecom companies, the government telecom company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) received a large number of new subscribers. However, many subscribers went back to private telecom companies such as Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel due to reasons such as 4G network shortage and some connectivity problems like BSNL. However, these companies can be challenged by BSNL. Recently this government telecom company has launched its 4G network. Along with this, BSNL has also started some new services.
