How to book online IRCTC train tickets on mobile
To book train tickets through smartphone, you first have to download IRCTC Rail Connect app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store. If you are a new user, then you have to register yourself here to start the process. Apart from this, the user can book tickets through his mobile browser. IRCTC Web Portal You can also go to IRCTC but registration is mandatory there as well. Follow these steps to book train tickets through IRCTC mobile app-
IRCTC Rail Connect app Google Play Store Or Apple App Store After downloading it from, install it on your smartphone. Log in there using the information received after new registration.
Here you click on Plan My Bookings on the home page. Then fill in the details of the departure station and destination station. Fill in the date on which you want to travel. Then click on Search Trains.
After that a list of trains will appear according to departure time and availability/unavailability. Seat availability is divided into sleeper class, AC and many other categories.
Here click on the desired class and you will see the price of that ticket. Once you have selected the train and class, click on Passenger Details.
At the time of booking, you can book for 6 adults and 2 children. IRCTC also asks you for the address of the destination. Fill in your details here and click on the check box in front of accept the terms and conditions. After that click on Review Journey Details.
Here you should double-check all the information. If you are satisfied with the information entered by you and the available train details, then after filling the CAPTCHA at the bottom of the page, click on Proceed to Pay.
You can also use mobile wallet, debit card, credit card or net banking for payment here. Once the payment is done, the user can view his booked ticket in the transaction history.
