  1. Now anyone can search for trains on the new IRCTC website. Can check seat availability. On the old website, one had to login to do this. But now all these tasks can be performed without logging in. Actually, the first interface of this website is Book Your Ticket. From here you will be able to check about the train and can also check PNR status.
  2. Now on the IRCTC website, one can choose from the options like Book Ticket, Cancel Ticket, PNR Inquiry, Train Schedule and Track Your Train from the train category visible in the top menu bar.
  3. On the IRCTC website, class, train, destination, departure/arrival time and quota based filters will now be visible on the same page. Here you can change things according to your need and preference. Now on one screen, the user will get information like train name, train number, originating station, destination station, distance between them and travel time.
  4. Waitlist prediction feature has been introduced for the general user with the new website. With the help of this feature, users can check the probability of confirmation of waitlisted and RAC tickets. If you are going to book a ticket and there is no seat available in the train, then you can know the probability of the seat getting confirmed by clicking on CNF Probability. In fact, on this page, you will also get the option of Confirmed Availability on Alternate Trains and Confirmed Availability on Alternate Class, which will give you the facility to buy a confirmed ticket.
  5. In the My Account tab, you will now find options like My Profile, My Transaction and Link Your Aadhaar. Under My Profile, there are options like Update Your Profile, Change Password, Add/Modify List, Add/Delete Favorite Journey List and Preferred Bank. Whereas, in My Transaction, there are options like Booked Ticket History, TDR Status and Ticket Cancellation History.
  6. In the new system, users can do a lot of things from the booked ticket history. Here, you will get the option of cancelling the ticket, sending an SMS on mobile, printing the ticket, choosing another train through ‘Vikalp’ and changing the boarding station.
