Jio Fiber on Monday announced several new broadband plans as well as some changes to existing plans. Jio Fiber monthly plans now start at Rs 399, which offers 30 Mbps internet speed. The company is also offering several other options that offer speeds up to 1 Gbps along with unlimited voice calls and free access to 12 streaming services. As official Website Updated on, the new Jio Fiber plans now start at Rs 399 and go up to Rs 8,499. These also include plans of Rs 699, Rs 999, Rs 1,499, Rs 2,499 and Rs 3,499. The Rs 399 plan is brand new. Earlier Jio Fiber plans used to start at Rs 699.

Apart from the new cheaper base plan, one of the biggest changes is that all plans now offer the same upload and download speeds. Earlier, Jio Fiber offered only 10 per cent of the plan’s total speed as upload speed. Apart from this, Netflix has also been added to the portfolio of streaming apps and free access to it will be available in select Jio Fiber plans. Apart from this, Jio claims to offer truly unlimited internet with plans priced at Rs 1,499 and below. However, there is a FUP limit of 3300 GB, in which your internet speed reduces after a limit.

Jio Fiber: New plans vs old plans

The Rs 399 plan is the new Jio Fiber Bronze plan and it offers 30Mbps speed along with unlimited voice calling, but this plan does not include any subscription to streaming apps.

The new Rs 699 Jio Fiber plan is now called the “Silver plan” and it now drops access to JioCinema and JioSaavn apps. Other benefits remain the same as before and it comes with 100 Mbps speed.

The next plan in the series is called Jio Fiber Gold, which costs Rs 999 and offers free subscription to a total of 11 streaming apps including Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, Zee5, SonyLIV, Voot, JioCinema, SunNXT, ShemarooMe, Lionsgate Play, HoiChoi and ALTBalaji. The speed of this plan is 150Mbps. It is not clear which of these apps will be missing, but it is likely to be Netflix. As Jio Fiber says, these subscriptions cost Rs 1,100 per month. Earlier, the company was offering a Rs 849 plan, known as the Silver plan, which had 100Mbps speed and allowed access to streaming apps only three times. It came with a FUP cap of 800GB.

Reliance Jio Fiber has three more plans – Rs 2,499, Rs 3,499 and Rs 8,499. The Rs 2,499 plan will now be called Diamond+ instead of Diamond and includes 500Mbps speeds, up to 4,000GB of data and access to all 12 streaming apps. The Rs 3,499 Platinum plan, which was originally priced at Rs 3,999, still offers 1Gbps speeds up to 7,500GB and access to all 12 streaming apps as well. Finally, there is the Rs 8,499 Titanium plan, which remains the same as before and still offers 15,000GB of data and 1Gbps speeds.
