The Facebook feature provided in Jio Phone is good for its price. It took us only a few seconds to download Facebook, which is a good thing in terms of experience. After this, there was no problem in logging in to Facebook, checking notifications, messages, scrolling up-down. But, in this budget segment, it is hardly possible to get a better Facebook user experience than Jio feature phone. The pointer is smooth, and for example, if you are going from notification to message, then you do not have to move the pointer in the empty space. While switching in one direction, the pointer automatically drags and stops on the next feature. In this way, while using Facebook from Jio phone, you do not feel at all that if there was any other phone, you would have used a particular feature as well.
Here you can update your status. You can send a message to someone. You can easily see the message sent by someone. You can also like, share and comment without any problem by clicking on the notification. When you use Facebook on this, leaving behind a larger screen and Android experience, it feels like you are stuck in a small box, where activities like liking, commenting and sharing are not of much interest. If the user was given an interface other than a mobile browser, the flaws mentioned could have been hidden to a great extent.
Even though the Facebook feature might feel a bit outdated while using it, it is a great achievement for Reliance Jio to provide such a smooth experience in terms of a feature phone.
