Reliance Jio announced its first laptop, JioBook, at the India Mobile Congress (IMC). This laptop is now live for sale. It is being made available to Indian consumers through the Reliance Digital website. Earlier it was brought to resellers through the government e-marketplace. This revealed the specifications of the laptop. This laptop has an 11.6-inch display, Snapdragon 665 processor and 5000mAh battery. Developed in partnership with Qualcomm and Microsoft, this budget laptop aims to repeat the success of JioPhone.

JioBook has been launched at a price tag of Rs 15,799. It is launched by Reliance Digital’s e-commerce giant. Website Apart from this, customers buying the laptop can avail 10% instant discount with Axis, Kotak, ICICI, HDFC, AU, IndusInd, DBS, Yes and other major bank credit cards.

JioBook Specifications and Features

JioBook has an 11.6-inch HD display, which supports 1366×768 pixel resolution. This laptop is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor, which is paired with Adreno 610 GPU. The laptop gets 2GB RAM and 32GB eMMC storage. Storage can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. JioBook has a 5,000mAh battery. The company claims that it will give more than 8 hours of battery life on a single charge.

Jio’s first laptop will run on JioOS. The company says that it has been optimized to give better performance. To download and install third party applications in this laptop, help of JioStore will have to be taken. JioBook will ship with an inbuilt 4G SIM card. It has options like Bluetooth 5.0, an HDMI mini port and Wi-Fi. The laptop also has dual 1.0W stereo speakers, 3.5mm audio jack and a 2-megapixel webcam for video calling. According to Jio, users will have to visit the nearest Jio Store with ICCID (SIM number) to complete their KYC and choose data plans.
