how to block someone on gmail

Most people like Gmail, or at least use it. But it’s not perfect. You can’t block someone with a single click like you can on Facebook. If you’re getting a lot of emails from a single website or email, you may want to do something to prevent these emails from reaching your inbox.

If you have decided that you don’t want any mail from a particular email ID, then you can set up a filter to automatically delete these mails before they reach your inbox. For this, you have to do this…

1. Gmail Open > Sign in > then in the search bar at the top right corner, click the down arrow next to the blue search button.

2. Now in the From section, enter the email ID you want to block. You can enter a specific email ID (xyz@abc.com) or the entire domain (@abc.com) > then click on Create Filter > check Delete it > then click on Create Filter. By doing this, the emails coming from that specific email ID will automatically go to the trash folder. You will not get any notification for these emails and they will be automatically deleted after 30 days.

3. If you are on a mail and want to block that ID, then click on the down arrow button next to reply. After this, go to Filter Messages Like This. Now follow the previous instructions.

Gmail does not allow users to block any mail ID to stop sending mails. If you do not want emails from a particular mail ID, then follow the instructions given above.
