Redmi 8 vs Redmi 8A price in India

The price of Redmi 8 starts from Rs 7,999. This price is for 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage variant. The 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage variant of the phone will be sold for Rs 8,999. Under the launch offer, the first 50 lakh buyers of the phone will be sold the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant of the smartphone for Rs 7,999. The phone will be available in Onyx Black, Ruby Red, Sapphire Blue and Emerald Green colors.

The price of Redmi 8A is Rs 6,499. This price is for 2 GB RAM + 32 GB storage variant. The price of 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage variant of the phone is Rs 6,999. The phone will be available in Midnight Black, Ocean Blue and Sunset Red colors.

Redmi 8 vs Redmi 8A specifications

Both Redmi 8 and Redmi 8A are dual-SIM (Nano) smartphones that run MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie. The phone has a 6.22 inch HD + dot notch display, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 has been used for screen protection. Both Redmi handsets have octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor. Redmi 8 has up to 4 GB RAM while Redmi 8A has up to 3 GB RAM.

Both Redmi 8 and Redmi 8A have a 12-megapixel Sony IMX363 sensor on the back. It comes with F/1.8 lens. Along with this, there is a 2 megapixel sensor at the back of Redmi 8. For selfie and video calling, both Redmi phones have an 8-megapixel camera sensor, its aperture is F/2.0.

Xiaomi has given up to 64 GB storage in its Redmi 8. The handset has support for microSD card up to 512 GB. The inbuilt storage of Redmi 8A is 32 GB and if needed, it will be possible to use a microSD card up to 512 GB.

Talking about connectivity, both Redmi 8 and Redmi 8A Redmi phones include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth version 4.2, wireless FM radio, 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type-C port. A fingerprint sensor is also provided on the back of Redmi 8. Both the phones of Redmi brand have a 5,000 mAh battery which supports fast charging up to 18 watts.
