New official tick started appearing on verified Twitter accounts in India

Twitter Blue subscribers will also get priority in search results, reply threads and trending topic lists. After gaining control of Twitter, Musk has ousted the company’s CEO, Parag Aggarwal, CFO Ned Segal, General Counsel Sean Edgett and Legal Policy, Trust and Security Head Vijaya Gadde from the company. A big problem for Twitter has been monetization. Musk wants to solve this and discussion has started on social media about some of his ideas.
The central government is amending the IT rules to make these platforms legally accountable for preventing prohibited and misinformation content on social media platforms in India. The government has made it clear that platforms like Facebook and Twitter operating in the country will have to follow the laws of the country as well as take care of the constitutional rights of the users. There is a provision to create an Appellate Committee in the new rules, which can cancel the decisions of big tech companies on requests related to removing or blocking content. Social media companies have been accused of being negligent regarding content or not resolving complaints quickly.
