Windows 10 laptop launched in India for just Rs 9,999
This laptop with 14.1 inch screen runs on Windows 10 Home operating system. And the company claims that with this price it is the most affordable laptop in India.
This laptop has been developed in collaboration with ecosystem giants Microsoft and Intel. RDP says the ThinBook aims to reach entry-level customers who are looking for an affordable device.
The RDP Thinbook weighs 1.4 kg and has an Intel Atom X5-Z8300 processor. This laptop has 2 GB RAM. Inbuilt storage is 32 GB which can be expanded via microSD card (up to 128 GB). This laptop is equipped with a 14.1 inch HD (1366×768 pixels) LED backlit display. The laptop has a 10000 mAh lithium-polymer battery, which the company claims will last for 8.5 hours.
Telangana Information and Broadcasting Minister K.T. Rama Rao launched this laptop. He also promised to support the company in making laptops. According to the company, it plans to sell 30,000 to 40,000 devices in this financial year.
The company says that despite the low price, there has been no compromise in the features of the RDP ThinBook. This laptop can be used for education and all basic and other applications.
The company also plans to launch RDP ThinBook variants with more powerful specifications in the coming time. Which was designed in Hyderabad and manufactured in Taiwan.
Apart from this, the company also introduced many other affordable products. These include 8-inch Gravity tablet and 10.1-inch ThinBook 2-in-1 laptop, ThinBook Convertible, PlugPC. Intel processor is provided in all of them. According to the company, so far it has invested $7-8 million while in the last financial year it earned a revenue of $4 million.
