Fix the phone in a place where you can easily connect it to the charger as you don’t want the battery to drain mid-recording. 1) Athome video streamer on your old smartphone – monitor (Android , iOS) Install. This handset will be used for streaming of camera feed.

2) Now, open the AtHome Monitor app (Android , iOS) download. This phone or tablet will be used to view the camera feed.

3) Now launch the app on the device with ‘Camera’ and view the camera feed. AtHome Video Streamer will generate a unique connection ID (CID) with a username and password as soon as the app goes online. After this, you will have to enter this information in the phone monitoring the feed.

If you have a webcam installed in your system, then you can scan the QR code like Step 3, otherwise you will have to log in by generating a username like Step 2.

6) This app includes features like scheduled recording and two-way talk. You can switch between the front and rear cameras as well as monitor the LED flash with the remote.

Most importantly, you can record the stream or even take snapshots. Videos are stored in SD quality MP4 format.

Storing a one minute stream takes up 3MB of storage. This means that a full day (24 hour) feed will require about 4.5 GB of storage, so if you use the camera every day you will need to transfer the file to your computer every day.
