Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8+
Nearly a month after its international launch, Samsung has introduced its flagship smartphones Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8+ to Indian customers. Pre-booking for both these smartphones has started from Wednesday. The sale of both the phones will start from May 5. The price of Samsung Galaxy S8 in India has been kept at Rs 57,900. Whereas, Samsung Galaxy S8+ will be sold for Rs 64,900.
Talking about the specifications, Samsung Galaxy S8 has a 5.8 inch QuadHD + (1440×2960 pixels) Super AMOLED display. At the same time, Samsung Galaxy S8 + has a 6.2 inch QuadHD + (1440×2960 pixels) Super AMOLED display. The company has named it Infinity Display. The aspect ratio of the display is 18:9. We saw a display with the same ratio in the LG G6. Both smartphones have 12 megapixel ‘dual pixel’ rear cameras. Along with this, 8 megapixel front camera will also be available.
Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ models with Exynos 8895 chipset have been launched in India. Remember that the global market variants come with the latest Snapdragon 835 processor. Both smartphones have 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage. You will be able to use microSD card up to 256 GB in both these handsets which come with hybrid dual SIM slot. Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ will support wireless charging. The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ have 3000 mAh and 3500 mAh batteries respectively.
Xiaomi Mi 6
The company has given a 5.15 inch display in Xiaomi Mi 6. The phone is equipped with 3D glass feature which gives a premium feel to the phone. The edges of the phone are made of stainless steel. The handset uses a 2.45 GHz 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor. Adreno 540 GPU is integrated for graphics. 6 GB RAM is available to make multi-tasking easier. Xiaomi Mi 6 will have two rear cameras on the back. Like iPhone 7 Plus, this phone has two 12 megapixel sensors. One sensor is a 12-megapixel wide angle lens and the other is a 12-megapixel telephoto sensor. The battery of the handset is 3350 mAh.
The starting price of Xiaomi Mi 6 starts from 2,499 Chinese Yuan (about Rs 23,500) in the Chinese market. Apart from this, there is also a 6 GB RAM and 128 GB variant. Apart from these two variants, Xiaomi also introduced a third version which will be known as Mi 6 Ceramic.

Swipe Technologies launched its 4G VoLTE smartphone Swipe Elite Star in December last year. The company on Wednesday introduced a variant of this smartphone with more storage. The new variant has 16 GB storage instead of 8 GB. Its price is Rs 3,999.
The dual SIM smartphone features a 4-inch WVGA (480×800 pixels) display. It has a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor and 1 GB RAM. Swipe Elite Star has 16 GB inbuilt storage which can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card. The Swipe Elite Star sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. The phone has a 1.3 megapixel front camera. This smartphone has a 2000 mAh battery which comes with rapid-charge functionality.
Videocon Delight 11+
Videocon has launched its new budget smartphone Delight 11+ in India. Videocon Delight 11+ is priced at Rs 5,800. The Videocon Delight 11+ sports a 5-inch 480×854 FWVGA screen. The phone has a 1 GHz quad-core MediaTek 6735M processor. This phone has 1 GB RAM. Processor is provided in this phone. Inbuilt storage is 8 GB which can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card.
Videocon has given a 5 megapixel rear camera with LED flash in its new Delight 11+. While the front camera is 2 megapixels. Delight 11+ runs on Pro 360 OS based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. This phone comes with 4G VoLTE support. To power the phone, a 3000 mAh battery has been provided.

Huawei’s Honor brand has launched its latest budget smartphone Honor B2 in India. Honor B2 is priced at Rs 7,499.

ZTE Axon 7S and Axon 7 Max
ZTE has launched Axon 7 Max and Axon 7 Max Launch smartphones. These phones are upgrade variants of Axon 7. The ZTE Axon 7S has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor while the ZTE Axon 7 Max has a 4100 mAh non-removable battery.
The Chinese company has not revealed all the details about the new ZTE Axon 7S and Axon 7 Max. The company has shared an image of the Axon 7S, in which a front camera can be seen above the display while a speaker grill can be seen at the bottom. Additionally, according to ZTE, the new Axon 7S and Axon 7 Max come with real-time voice support for text translation in up to 23 languages and several other intelligent voice functions.
