ISS astronauts seen burning spacecraft from 400 km above earth watch photos

A special phenomenon was seen on Wednesday from the International Space Station (ISS) circling the Earth 400 kilometers above the ground. A spacecraft carrying ‘garbage’ from the ISS burst into flames after entering the Earth’s atmosphere a few hours later. An astronaut aboard the ISS saw these ‘fireworks’. He also took some pictures. The spacecraft had left with ‘old equipment’ and ‘domestic waste’. He was no longer needed on the space station.

According to the report of Space.com, the spacecraft which departed from the ISS was named Progress MS-23. This was Russia’s cargo spacecraft. Just 4 hours after leaving the ISS, NASA astronaut Jasmine Moghbeli spotted the spacecraft. The spacecraft burned up in the Earth’s atmosphere, due to which the astronauts aboard the ISS clicked some pictures of it.

Moghbeli wrote on social media platform Was visible only for 2-3 minutes. It reminded me somewhat of fireworks.

According to the Russian space agency Roscosmos, most of the things present in the spacecraft burnt to ashes above the Earth, while some things went into the Pacific Ocean. This is not the first incident on the ISS. Cargo that cannot be reused is often sent to the ISS.

However, SpaceX’s Dragon capsule is a reusable spacecraft, which can be used again and again. The International Space Station is a joint project of many countries, including America and Russia. A team of astronauts is always stationed on the ISS and completes science-related experiments and other tasks. The ISS revolves around the Earth. It shares information about the countries over which it passes.
