Five special features of Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus

Lenovo on Tuesday launched Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus mid-range smartphones at the ongoing MWC 2017 in Barcelona.

However, most of the specifications of Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus were leaked before the official launch. We will tell you about the top five features of these new devices.

1) Google Assistant
Support for Google Assistant feature has been provided in Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus smartphones. Google’s artificial intelligence-based digital assistant was earlier limited to only Pixel smartphones. Google Assistant has been highly appreciated by critics as well as users due to its excellent ability to provide accurate answers and understand information while asking questions. Google Assistant is being considered as a rival to Apple’s Siri. And due to continuous improvement with time, it is believed that it will get even better in the future.

2) camera
While Moto G5 Plus has a 12 megapixel camera, Moto G5 has a 13 megapixel rear camera. The company claims that the Plus variant has ‘the most advanced’ rear camera setup with aperture F/1.7, dual autofocus, 4K video recording and dual LED flash. On the other hand, the rear camera of the Moto G5 smartphone comes with PDAF, aperture F/2.0 and dual-LED flash. The smaller screen variant has a 5-megapixel wide-angle front camera for taking selfies.

3) Moto Display
Both smartphones come with the company’s Moto Display, which allows users to preview notifications without unlocking their phones. This feature proves useful when users want to stay up-to-date without unlocking their device.

4) One Button Nav
The Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus smartphones come with a one-button nav feature that lets users navigate through the screen using the fingerprint scanner on the phone. It seems that the company has provided this button to make the phone more convenient to use without having to drag your thumb or finger to navigate through the screen every time.

5) Moto Actions
With Moto Actions, users can access their most-used features with simple gestures without ever having to touch a button. You can twist the smartphone to open the camera app or press down twice to turn on the flashlight.

The price of 2 GB RAM / 16 GB variant of Moto G5 is 199 Euro (about Rs 14,000) and the price of 2 GB RAM / 32 GB variant of Moto G5 Plus is 229 Euro (about Rs 15,300). Whereas the price of 3 GB RAM / 32 GB variant is 279 Euro (about Rs 19,700) and the price of 4 GB RAM / 4 GB storage is not known yet. These smartphones will run on Android 7.0 Nougat and are expected to be launched in India in March.
