Yamaha Aerox 155 S Variant Price in India 1.50 Lakh Launched With Smart Key Book Online Specifications Details

Yamaha has launched a new S variant of its sports scooter, Aerox 155, in India, which comes with Smart Key. By pressing a button in this ‘smart key’, the blinker of the scooter turns on and a buzzer sound starts playing, through which the location of the scooter can be detected in the parking lot. Special silver and racing blue color options are also available in the new variant. The powertrain remains the same as the base variant, which means the Aerox 155 S also gets a 155cc, liquid-cooled engine with variable valve actuation technology, capable of generating 14.75bhp and 13.9Nm. It consists of a single monoshock with telescopic forks, while braking is handled by single discs at both the front and rear.

Yamaha Aerox 155 S price in India is Rs 1,50,600 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new variant is Rs 1,500 more expensive than the original variant and Rs 3,000 more expensive than the MotoGP variant. Smart Key is available as standard with the new Yamaha Aerox 155 S variant. Through this, the blinkers of the scooter can be turned on by pressing a button. This can be used to easily locate the scooter in the parking lot, as the scooter provides blinkers as well as a buzzer sound. There is also no need to manually insert the key to start the scooter, because as soon as the key comes close to the scooter, the scooter unlocks. The rider has to turn the knob present in the scooter towards the ignition and press the starter button.

When the key is out of range, it locks the scooter to prevent possible theft. The company says that the inclusion of this feature will significantly increase the safety level by preventing the risk of unauthorized access to the scooter.

The technical specifications of the Aerox 155 S variant are the same as the other variants. It comes equipped with a 155cc, liquid-cooled engine with Variable Valve Actuation technology, which is capable of generating 14.75bhp and 13.9Nm. It gets 14-inch alloy wheels, which come with telescopic forks and a monoshock suspension. For braking, a single disc is available at both ends. It has a 5.5-litre fuel tank and weighs 126 kg.
