Top five features of LG V20 smartphone

LG has finally launched the LG V20 smartphone at its much-awaited event in San Francisco. This smartphone is expected to be available first in the company’s domestic market South Korea. After this, this flagship smartphone can be launched soon in other markets including India. According to the confirmation made by Google, this phone is the world’s first smartphone which runs on Android 7.0.

The LG V20 smartphone is an upgraded variant of last year’s flagship phone LG V10. And it has a completely new design, camera setup and more audio features. Let us tell you about some major features of LG V20.

1. Design and design
The design of the LG V20 is much better than the previous phone and it is made of full metal body without modular chin. Compared to the LG V10, the V10 had a plastic top, a metal edge and a rubber rear cover. Despite the new design, LG has given a removable rear (for removable battery) in this phone.

A fingerprint sensor is provided on the rear in LG V20. LG claims that this smartphone has passed the MTL-STD 810G transit drop test for durability, just like the V10. The LG V20 is also lighter and thinner than the previous V10 smartphone. The V20 has a thickness of 7.6 mm and weighs 174 grams, while the V10 has a thickness of 8.6 mm and weighs 192 grams.

2. Dual Rear Camera
One of the biggest features of V10 is the dual rear camera provided for better photography. The LG V20 has a 135-degree 8-megapixel lens and a 75-degree 16-megapixel lens on the rear. At the front, there is a 5 megapixel camera with 120 degree wide angle lens. Auto shot feature is provided in the smartphone which will automatically capture the selfie by detecting the smile of the user.

The camera of LG V20 comes with Hybrid Autofocus (AF) feature which allows it to perform tasks like laser detection autofocus, phase detection autofocus and contrast autofocus. The camera automatically detects which autofocus is better for which photo and the photo is clicked accordingly. With this, sharp pictures can be taken even in low light. OIS 3.0 has been provided for better motion photography. To recall, the LG V10 had a dual front camera setup (one wide angle lens and one standard lens) and more focus was given on selfie photography.

3. Android 7.0 Nougat
LG V20 has Android 7.0 Nougat. It will be equipped with Google’s in-app search function. This time the company has used LG UX 5.0+ skin. With the help of the new in-app search feature, users will be able to search contacts, emails, text messages and photos in any Google app. It also has multi-window, with the help of which you will be able to run two apps simultaneously.

4. Secondary Screen
Like the LG V10, it also has a secondary display. The density of this screen is 513 PPI. The font on the secondary display of the LG V20 appears to be 50 percent larger than that of the V10. For this reason, it will be easier for the user to see notifications and alerts. Apart from this, there is also a new expandable notification feature that will allow users to expand the notification to view larger messages by tapping a button on the secondary screen and can also send quick replies from there. Talking about the main screen, this handset has a 5.7 inch IPS Quantum display like V10.

5. Audio System
It is said to be the world’s first smartphone with 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC (support for FLAC, DID, DIFF and ALAC file formats). This will reduce ambient noise by 50 percent with clear sound in the phone. Apart from this, features like HD audio recorder, B&O Play speaker have been provided in LG V20. It is clear that the company has tried to woo those who are fond of music.
