1. Multi-Window
After the arrival of multi-window support, users will be able to run two apps simultaneously. The size of the windows can also be changed, just drag the divider. We’ve seen this feature before. Many smartphone manufacturing companies have made this feature a part of their handsets. However, this feature will largely depend on your personal needs. If you have a phone with 6 inch display then this will prove effective.
2. Direct reply to notification
Android’s notification center is also being completely redesigned. A new template is being used from which notifications will emerge. Along with this, you will also get the option to reply directly. With its help, you will be able to reply to text or chat messages directly from the Notification Center.
3. Quick Settings
Now users will be able to access Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and flashlight with a single swipe. Now all the important shortcuts will be present in the notification shade. Apart from this, you can change the order of the icons and place the shortcut of the app of your choice at the top.
4. Multi-locale support
Now you can go to Settings and select multiple locales. This will be used by the app to determine content for you. This will prove helpful for users who know many languages. For example, search engine results will be presented to you in all the languages you have previously selected.
5. Better battery life
Last year, a feature called Doze was added to Android, whose job was to save battery when the phone is not active. This feature has been updated in Android 7.0 Nougat. Now it will be possible to use it in more places.
6. Faster and more secure
With the help of new direct boot mode, the phone will run in safe mode. Apps do not run in direct boot mode. However, they can be set up for some components, such as scheduled alerts (alarm clock) or important notifications (messages), which will run in encrypted mode. This means that your device will start up faster.
Other security upgrades include file-based encryption. Apart from this, this version will get seamless updates, with the help of which updates will be done faster in the background.
7. Better performance
Android 7.0 Nougat will come with a new feature called Vulkan. It is a cross-platform API designed for 3D graphics. It makes better use of the multi-core processor present in the phone in gaming and other heavy applications. In such a situation, you can expect better performance. 8. Virtual Reality
VR mode has been provided in Android 7.0 Nougat through Google’s Daydream. However, existing phones will not support Daydream. But in the coming days, many phones will be equipped with Daydream feature. Information has been received that the headset and controller will be made available by the end of the year.
