AI is believed threat for some jobs, AI/Ml Jobs Rise 38 Percent in Q1, Nvidia, Google

In the last few years, the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has increased in many sectors. However, there are also apprehensions about a large number of employment decrease in some industries from AI. Along with this, the number of jobs related to AI and machine learning (ML) is increasing.

A media Report A report by Naukri, which included the country’s major employee websites, has been quoted as saying that in the first quarter of the current financial year, AI-related jobs have increased by 38 percent on a year-old basis. Naukri has been posted on Naukri between April and June, more than 35,000 AI and machine learning jobs have been posted. Non-AI Tech Jobs has increased by about eight percent during this period. A large part of AI’s jobs (53 percent) was in the AI sector. After this, these jobs have increased by 48 percent in the banking sector. These jobs have increased by 39 percent in IT enabled services and BPO sectors.

This report titled ‘AI: Friend, Foe or Frenemy’ has collected information on the basis of candidates searching more than 60,000 jobs, thousands of job listings and recruiter survey. The tech industry is also divided over the impact on AI’s employment. In this regard, CEO of AI Safety and Research firm Anthropic, Dario Amodei says that by 2030, about 50 percent white-collar and entry level jobs will disappear. However, CEO of Nvidia, Jensen Huang argues that the situation of these jobs will change but it will not end completely.

Alphabet’s CEO, Sundar Pichai recently said that AI could not replace workers despite increasing the use of AI. Pichai had reported that AI acts as an accelerator instead of Human talent options. This makes it easier for the company to take advantage of more occasions in the emerging area of technology. Pichai had said, “I hope our existing engineering base will be extended by next year.” Their attitude is different from companies that sees AI as a means of reducing the cost.
