Amazon claims that REKK provides a paid service to customers looking for deals on high-value products like laptops and game consoles. One of its methods included manipulating Amazon’s return and refund processes, which allegedly led to millions of dollars in illegal profits for the fraudulent group.

Bloomberg’s Report According to , the lawsuit says REKK employs a variety of tactics, including social engineering, phishing attacks, and bribery. The group is accused of using phishing attacks on Amazon fulfillment employees or bribing them to mark returns as received without actually sending the items back.
The legal action names more than two dozen individuals involved in the alleged fraud, spanning the US, UK, Canada, Greece, Lithuania and the Netherlands. The lawsuit states that REKK advertised its services on a Telegram channel with 30,000 followers, where customers paid a portion of the item’s original price for promised discounted deals.
Received many premium products for free
The report notes that the lawsuit includes an example of a specific case in which a man named Andrew Ling allegedly ordered five iPads and collaborated with REKK to arrange a refund. The group is said to have conducted a phishing attack on an Amazon fulfillment center employee to falsely indicate that iPad returns had been received by Amazon.
Bribery allegations against employee
Additionally, the lawsuit alleges that REKK also engaged in bribery. It has been claimed that some Amazon employees were paid to facilitate fake returns. One employee is accused of approving 76 product returns worth more than $100,000 in exchange for $3,500, while another allegedly claimed to have received $5,000 for approving 56 fraudulent returns worth more than $75,000.
