America Asia will collide new Supercontinent Amasia will be formed says scientist

There are currently 7 continents in the world, but till millions of years ago all of them were connected. Scientists have estimated that another supercontinent may form in the next 300 million years. Due to the collision of America and Asia, a new supercontinent named ‘Amasia’ may be born. Now geophysicist Ross Mitchell has confirmed this in his new book. The Next Supercontinent (The Next Supercontinent).

This book talks about the future of our earth. It has been told how the Earth will look after millions of years, when all the continents will turn into one huge landmass. Gadgets 360 Hindi has not explored this book, but reports claim that the book talks about the continents’ past, present and future.

It has been written that the merger of North America and Asia will create a new supercontinent. His name will be- Amasia. Last year also this information was revealed in a research. Researchers said that as the Pacific Ocean shrinks in the next 200 to 300 million years, Asia will collide with America to create a new landmass. This could give rise to a supercontinent, which scientists named ‘Amasia’.

Researchers from Australia’s Curtin University and China’s Peking University used a supercomputer to model future land structures. In his research, he found that due to changes in tectonic plates, Asia may collide with America.

Dr Chuan Huang, lead author of the paper published in National Science Review, said Earth’s continents collided together to form a supercontinent every 600 million years, a phenomenon known as the supercontinent cycle. This means that the present continents are going to do this again in a few million years.

Now the new continent has also been talked about in the new book ‘The Next Supercontinent’. Only the future world will know how true these claims are.
