Another comet coming at a speed of 2.90 lakh km/h! It will be many times brighter than the Green Comet! will be visible on this day

Astronomers have discovered another comet or in English, comet. This comet is moving rapidly towards the sun and when it reaches near the sun, it will appear very bright, such a possibility has been said. Its comet has been named C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS). The exciting information is that it will be so bright that it will appear as the brightest star ever seen. The possibility of formation of a long tail behind this has also been suggested. Let us tell you about its complete situation.

Space scientists have given information about a comet named C/2023 A3. BBC’s Sky at Night Magazine According to this, this comet will be closest to the sun next year, which is called perihelion point. Perihelion is the point when a celestial body or object reaches its closest point to the Sun. It is being said about this new comet that it will become very bright as it approaches the Sun and its magnitude will be 7.0. It will reach its perihelion on 28 September 2024.

According to the report, this comet has been discovered by the Asteroid Terrestrial Last Alert System (ATLAS), which is a telescope deployed in South Africa. It was discovered on 22 February 2023. At the same time, scientists at the Purple Mountain Observatory located in China also saw it on January 9, 2023, due to which the word Tsuchinshan has also been added to its name. At the time of observation it was at a distance of 7.3 AU (astronomical units) from the Sun.

After studying about the comet, scientists have told that this comet completes one revolution around the sun in 80,660 years. Talking about its position in March 2023, it has been said that it is currently between the orbits of the planets Saturn and Jupiter. Regarding the time of approach to the Earth, it has been said that it will pass closest to the Earth on October 13, 2024. Its speed is said to be 2,90,664 kilometers per hour.

The report says that if the prediction proves correct, it will be clearly visible in the western sky of the Earth. There is also a strong possibility of formation of a long tail behind it. On October 13, 2024, when it will be passing between the Earth and the Sun, it will appear very bright. Recently a green comet named C/2022 E3 (ZTF) was seen in space. It passed near the Earth about 50 thousand years ago. This comet passed closest to the Earth on 1 February. C/2023 A3 is said to be even brighter.
