Apple in Problem After Women Employees Sues Company over Salary Discrimination

According to Bloomberg report, this case has been filed by Christine Jong and Samantha Salgado in California, USA. It says that if the company decides how much package it should give to a new employee on the basis of the salary of the previous job, then women may get less salary, even if they are doing the same work as men. These two women employees, who have filed a lawsuit against the company, want to represent many other women who are currently or have previously worked at Apple.
It has been told in this report that Samantha had expressed apprehensions about the inequality in salary several times. However, Apple increased her salary only after a third-party investigation confirmed the difference in salary between her and her male colleagues, but Samantha did not receive her previous salary. Apple has not commented on this lawsuit.
