Apple launches new MacBook Pro laptop
The most unique feature of the new MacBook Pro is the Multi Touch Control Strip. Actually, it has now replaced the function button. Apple has named it Touch Bar. It is completely interactive and context sensitive. It displays many system-related commands and also adapts to different apps and workflows. During the launch, the company said that it also works with auto-completion, email composing and filling tools. Apart from this, they can also be used during Photoshop tool selection, DJ mixing and video editing.
Moving controls to the Touch Bar will cause the application to display content across the entire screen. Multi-touch gestures mean you’ll be able to change the timeline as well. Users who still love function buttons. There are options available for them in the market. The price for the 13-inch model without Touch Bar starts at $1499. This model will be available in India for Rs 1,29,900.
The new MacBook Pro also has Touch ID sensors integrated into the power button. Apple also revealed its new chassis design, which makes the 13-inch MacBook Pro smaller and thinner than the company’s 13-inch MacBook Air. The new speaker has also been claimed to provide better sound. Speakers are now present on both sides of the keyboard.
Now let’s talk about specifications. These have sixth generation Intel Core i5 and i7 CPUs, 8 GB or 16 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. The 13-inch model has a screen resolution of 2560×1600 pixels and integrated Intel Iris 540 graphics. The screen resolution of the 15-inch model is 2880×1800 pixels and it uses AMD Radeon Pro graphics.
The model that comes with the Touch Bar has four USB Type-C ports that support USB 3.2 Gen 2 speeds along with Thunderbolt 3. The model without Touch Bar has two ports.
