Often we wear masks while travelling to avoid pollution but we do not do so at home. And it is not possible to wear a mask 24 hours a day. Air purifiers work much like water purifiers. They have fans through which they draw in air and clean it and recirculate it in the room. Between drawing in air and releasing it, purifiers remove harmful dust and suspended particulate matter from the air through several filters. Expensive air purifiers have HEPA filters which also work to remove bacteria and viruses from the air.

While buying a purifier, pay special attention to some things. Does the purifier have a HEPA filter or not and what is the size of your room. If your room is small then there is no need to buy a very powerful purifier because it will increase the electricity bill. Apart from this, how many filters are there in the purifier, the more the better. Finally, the most important thing is what will be the cost of replacing the filter. Because it is also a matter of your budget.
What else can you do?
In a way, air purifiers are a bit expensive. Even if you buy it, it will be useful only in one room. The Aeroguard brand also agrees with us on this thought and a spokesperson of the company told us that there is a light bulb in the market through which you can clean the air in your room.

The spokesperson of the company explained the working style of this bulb. He said, “It releases negative ions in the air. These ions go into the air and give a negative charge to the dust particles. And these negatively charged dust particles are drawn towards the positively charged wall or TV screen. By the way, let us tell you that this is not a new technology, this technology was used in hospitals a decade ago.”
However, this technology also has some drawbacks. While the dirt in an air purifier gets removed from the air and gets deposited in the filter of the device, in the Ion purifier the dust remains in the room. And it is also not as effective as a purifier because it does not have fans to change the air. However, a spokesperson for Eureka Forbes says that despite the shortcomings, this product is very effective.
