Around 95 Percent WhatsApp Users Receive Pesky Calls SMS from Online Business
This survey was conducted by online survey firm LocalCircles between February 1 and 20. survey Nearly 95 percent of WhatsApp users reported that they receive one or more spam messages every day. Of these, about 41 percent claimed that they receive four or more spam messages. When contacted about this, Meta, which owns WhatsApp, its spokesperson said that WhatsApp has such systems by which businesses sending such messages are suspended after getting feedback from users. He said that if a business gets more negative feedback, its access to WhatsApp may be reduced or removed.
LocalCircles said that the survey findings show that most of the WhatsApp users have tools to block such messages but despite this, spam messages are being received. This means that those sending such messages are changing their numbers or their number is very high.
Another recent survey by LocalCircles showed that 16 percent of mobile users receive 6-10 spam calls per day, while for about five percent the number is more than 10 calls per day. This survey was conducted between January 5 and February 5. In this, more than 56,000 replies were received from people of 342 districts. The number of answers was different for each question of this survey. Of the mobile subscribers surveyed, 66 percent reported that they receive three or more spam calls per day. Of these, 96 percent subscribers said they received at least one such call per day.
