Professor Stephen Kane at UCR says that Earth is the largest planet among the cosmic planets. Whereas Neptune is the smallest gas giant. But in width it is 4 times larger than the Earth and 17 times heavier. Outside our solar system, there are planets larger than Earth which are similar in structure to it. These are called super earths. At the same time, there is considered to be a big gap between Mars and Jupiter. Astronomers say that there could have been another planet between these two planets. But right now there are many asteroids present in between which have a complete belt.

By creating a planet between these two, Ken and his team tried to find out what effect the 9th planet would have on Earth if it existed. In the experiment he found that this 9th planet could influence the orbit of all the other planets in the solar system. It was going to have a negative impact on all the planets. After the experiment, scientists found that it was good that there was no other planet present in between them. It can greatly impact the solar system.

The study says that the mass of Jupiter is 318 times that of the Earth. Even if all the planets of the solar system are combined, Jupiter dominates them all. Therefore, if the 9th planet had come and had even the slightest impact on Jupiter’s orbit, it would have had a massive impact on the entire solar system. Scientists say that if this had happened, life on earth could have ended. Because if the imaginary planet named Super Earth had had even a slight impact on the Earth’s orbit, the conditions here would have been different and would not have been favorable for life. Here life could have ended completely.

Professor Kane says that a small-sized super-Earth could probably remain somewhat stable between Mars and Jupiter. But if there is even a slight change in the position of the planet then its consequences can be bad.
