Asus ZenBook 3 premium ultrabook goes on sale in India

Asus launched the ZenBook 3 (UX390UA) laptop in India in August. Its sales were to start in October. However, now finally this laptop will be available for purchase on 27th November. The starting price of ZenBook 3 is Rs 1,13,990. Retail sales of the Transformer Pro 3 will begin in January 2017. Asus launched the new ZenFone 3 series at Computex 2016. ZenBook 3 is the company’s flagship ultrabook with a thickness of 11.9 mm and weight of 910 grams. Its body is made from aerospace-grade aluminum alloy and features Asus’ signature ‘spun-metal’ texture.

This laptop has Intel’s seventh generation ‘Kaby-Lake’ core processor. Asus has launched three variants according to different specifications. These include a Core i5-7200U, 8 GB RAM and 512 GB SATA 3 M.2 SSD model priced at Rs 1,13,990, a Core i7-7500U, 8 GB RAM and 512 GB SATA 3 M.2 SSD model priced at Rs 1,23,990. The most premium variant i7-7500U, 16 GB RAM and 512 GB PCIE M.2 SSD is priced at Rs 1,47,990. The ZenBook 3 also has 1TB SSD storage but we don’t think Asus will bring the SKU to India just yet as the pricing for this variant is not known yet.

Talking about other features of ZenBook 3, it has a 12.5-inch Full HD display with Gorilla Glass 4, VGA webcam, Harmon Kardon speakers, backlit keyboard and a 6-cell, 40 Wh battery. For connectivity, this laptop has a headphone, microphone and USB Type-C port, just like Apple’s MacBook. This laptop will be available in Royal Blue, Rose Gold and Quartz Gray color variants. The ZenBook 3 also has the world’s thinnest 3 mm fan. According to Asus, the screen-to-body ratio is 82 percent and it will get 9 hours of battery life. With quick charging, the battery gets charged up to 60 percent in 49 minutes. ZenBook 3 will come with a bag, laptop sleeve and a dock.
