Audio social media app Clubhouse will be available in India on May 21, Elon Musk also uses it

Clubhouse has announced the roll out of the beta version of its Android app in many countries including India. Till now this app was available only on iOS. Since the beginning of May, its testing for Android was still going on in the US. Now the developers have announced to roll it out in Brazil, Japan and Russia from May 18. In Nigeria and India, it will be rolled out by the morning of 21st May. Clubhouse is an invitation-based audio social media app that came into limelight at the beginning of the year when chats of Elon Musk and other celebrities were seen in it.

Clubhouse began its beta testing in the US in the first week of May with a limited number of testers. But after a week its Android beta version was launched across the country. Its developers have shared through tweet that this app is soon reaching the rest of the world at its right time, which also includes Brazil, India, Japan, Nigeria and Russia.

According to the tweet, the Android rollout of this app will continue throughout this week and by Friday afternoon the Clubhouse app will be available all over the world. This will be the public beta version of the app. Its stable Android version launch has not been announced yet.

Clubhouse’s popularity skyrocketed when Elon Musk and other celebrities were seen in the app’s chats. Now other social media platforms are also trying to create their own version of this app. Social media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, Discord and Reddit along with others have also launched competing apps. Twitter launches Twitter Spaces, Discord launches its Stage Channel, Instagram has its Live Rooms. Whereas Reddit has launched Reddit Talk and Telegram has launched Voice Chats 2.0.

Apart from this, Facebook and LinkedIn are also working on their options. Meanwhile, Mark Cuban’s Fireside audio chat and podcasting app is expected to be launched soon.
