Bajaj Auto Registers 7 Percent Increase in Sales, To Soon Launch CNG Motorcycle

Bajaj Auto’s exports have declined last month. In June the company exported 1,26,439 units. In the same month last year, the company’s exports were 1,27,357 units. Pulsar and Dominar motorcycles account for a major share in Bajaj Auto’s sales. It has increased its presence in South America with the setting up of a new factory in Brazil. The company’s new factory will assemble and test Dominar motorcycles. Its annual capacity will be to manufacture approximately 20,000 units in a single shift.
The company’s presence has reached 100 countries. It sells its motorcycles and other vehicles in these countries. Bajaj Auto’s CNG motorcycle will be launched on July 5. It may have two fuel tanks for CNG and petrol. This can bring a big change in the motorcycle market. The cost of running it will be about 50 percent less than petrol-powered motorcycles. The company has a major share in the market of CNG three-wheelers. This motorcycle will be in the 100-150 cc segment. Its motor will be compatible to run on both types of fuel. However, its price may be higher than petrol-powered motorcycles. The reason for this is the increase in the cost of its manufacturing.
This year the company can also launch 400 cc single cylinder Pulsar. Bajaj Auto’s Chetak electric scooter is also getting good response from customers. Recently a new variant of Chetak electric scooter has been launched. It is being called Chetak 2901. Its price is Rs 95,998 (ex-showroom). It has been made available in White, Lime Yellow, Azure Blue, Red and Black colors. Its ARAI range is more than 120 kilometers. Customers purchasing it will also have the option to upgrade its features from TecPac. Features like hill hold and economy modes are available from TecPac.
