Bajaj Auto Targets to make 10,000 Triumph Motorcycles Every Month
The company has sold around 42,000 units of the Triumph Speed 400 and Triumph Scrambler 400 Bajaj Auto’s premium motorcycle brands include KTM and Dominar. Bajaj Auto is manufacturing these motorcycles in its factory in partnership with British motorcycle company Triumph. However, Royal Enfield holds the first position in this segment. Triumph Motorcycles had a 2.1 percent share in Bajaj Auto’s total two-wheeler sales in the fourth quarter of the last financial year.
The company has also prepared to launch the first CNG motorcycle. It has the expertise to manufacture CNG three-wheelers and the same can be used in this motorcycle. It can be between 110-125 cc. Earlier, Bajaj Auto had given information about some features of this motorcycle. Recently, Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director of Bajaj Auto, had said that the CNG motorcycle will be launched in June. It will be called Bajaj Bruzer. This will reduce CO2 emissions by about 50 percent.
The cost of running this motorcycle will also be economical. It can run on both petrol and CNG. However, its price may be higher than petrol-powered motorcycles. The reason for this is its high manufacturing cost. Bajaj Auto’s Pulsar motorcycle sales may soon cross 20 lakh units. It is one of the best selling motorcycles for the company. This year Bajaj Auto can also introduce 400 cc single cylinder Pulsar. The company’s Chetak electric scooter is also getting good response from customers. Last year the company had launched the updated version of Chetak electric scooter. New features have been given in it. Its range has also been increased. The company has also tried to increase its supply. There has been no change in the design of this electric scooter.
