Bajaj Auto to Launch CNG Motorcycle on 5 July

Bajaj Auto, one of the big automobile companies, will launch its CNG motorcycle on July 5. It may have two fuel tanks for CNG and petrol. This can bring a big change in the motorcycle market. The company said that Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari will also be present at its launch.

The company has given a teaser image in the media invite sent for the launch of the CNG motorcycle. In this it is seen in flat single seat. Bajaj Auto says that the cost of running it will be about 50 percent less than petrol-powered motorcycles. The company has a major share in the market of CNG three-wheelers. This motorcycle will be in the 100-150 cc segment. Earlier in some leaks it was told that the company’s CNG motorcycle may have two fuel tanks. One of these will be for petrol and the other for CNG. Its motor will be compatible to run on both types of fuel. However, its price may be higher than petrol-powered motorcycles. The reason for this is the increase in its manufacturing cost.

This year the company can also introduce 400 cc single cylinder Pulsar. The company’s Chetak electric scooter is also getting good response from customers. Recently a new variant of Chetak electric scooter has been launched. It is being called Chetak 2901. Its price is Rs 95,998 (ex-showroom). It has been made available in White, Lime Yellow, Azure Blue, Red and Black colors.

Its ARAI range is more than 120 kilometers. Customers purchasing it will also have the option to upgrade its features with TecPac. TecPac offers features like hill hold, reverse, sport and economy modes and music control. The Chetak 2901 features a colored digital console, Bluetooth connectivity and alloy wheels with tubeless tyres. Bajaj Auto had introduced a new version of Chetak electric scooter in March. New features have been given in it. Its range was also increased. The company had said that it has also improved the supply chain to increase manufacturing. The company has also planned to increase the dealership network of Chetak electric scooter.
