The latest entry in the budget segment is the new Motorola budget E-series. Moto E7 Plus The Moto E7 Plus is a smartphone that is priced at Rs 9,499 and comes equipped with some decent hardware. It gets a 6.5-inch display with HD+ resolution, which includes a waterdrop notch on top. The Moto E7 Plus is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 processor and is paired with 4GB of RAM. It is good enough to handle day-to-day tasks as well as light gaming. It gets a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, which is fast in unlocking the device.
Motorola has used a 5,000mAh battery that lasts a long time. There is no USB Type-C port here and the Moto E7 Plus gets a micro-USB port. The bundled charger is only 10W and it takes over two hours to fully charge the device. You only get a dual camera setup on the Moto E7 Plus. The primary has a 48-megapixel sensor and there is a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The cameras are capable of capturing good photos in daylight. The Moto E7 Plus also gets some good low-light shots using the Night mode.

The Moto E7 Plus offers a near-stock Android experience, which isn’t very common at this price point. If you like a simple, easy-to-use interface, this is the phone for you. Priced at Rs 9,499, the Moto E7 Plus is easy to recommend, but keep an eye on the more powerful Moto G9, which has gone on sale for Rs 9,999 on several occasions.

Realme Narzo 10A

Realme Narzo 10A can be seen as an upgrade to the Realme C3, as both these smartphones share a lot of similar hardware except for the design, macro camera and fingerprint sensor. This phone comes with HD + resolution and the display size is 6.5 inches. MediaTek Helio G70 chipset is available. The Narzo 10A is priced at Rs 8,999 for 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage and Rs 9,999 for 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage variant.
Narzo 10A has a 5,000mAh battery and it offers good battery life. It has a triple camera setup with a 12-megapixel primary camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Apart from this, its selfie camera comes equipped with a 5-megapixel lens. Narzo 10A has a new design compared to Realme C3.

Redmi 9

Redmi 9 Redmi 9 has been launched as an upgrade to the Redmi 8. Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 9 with a micro-USB port, which is a downgrade from the USB Type-C port included in the Redmi 8 and is also disappointing. The Redmi 9 has a 6.53-inch HD + display, which comes equipped with a waterdrop notch.
Xiaomi has opted for the MediaTek Helio G35 processor to power the Redmi 9, which comes paired with 4GB of RAM. The Redmi 9 is powered by a 5,000mAh battery, but a 10W charger is bundled in the box. While charging is a bit slow, battery life is quite good and you can get more than a day of backup with regular use. The Redmi 9 runs on MIUI 12, based on Android 10. There is a lot of bloatware on the smartphone and we also faced spam notifications while using it.

Redmi 9 has a dual camera setup at the back, which includes a 13-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, it has a 5-megapixel front camera. Redmi 9 is capable of handling day-to-day tasks, but heavy games cannot run very smoothly.

Realme C12 and Realme C15

Realme has recently launched two budget smartphones in its C-series. Realme C12 And Realme C15 Both are quite similar and come with the same dimensions. Both smartphones have a 6.5-inch HD + display with a waterdrop notch. Both work on the MediaTek Helio G35 processor like the Redmi 9.
Both the Realme C12 and Realme C15 get 6,000mAh batteries and have micro-USB ports for charging. The Realme C12 comes with a 10W charger, while the C15 gets a better 18W charger. The Realme C12 only comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, while the C15 also gets an additional 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage option, although this is above our set budget.

There are some differences in the camera setup of both Realme C12 and Realme C15. The C12 gets a 13-megapixel primary camera camera, a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor and a 2-megapixel macro camera. Whereas the C15 gets a 13-megapixel primary camera with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera, a 2-megapixel monochrome camera and a 2-megapixel retro camera. For selfies, the C12 gets a 5-megapixel sensor and the C15 gets an 8-megapixel sensor.

Redmi 9 Prime

Redmi 9 Primeis similar to the Redmi 9 and comes with the same 6.53-inch display. However, instead of the HD+ panel present in the Redmi 9, it gets a full-HD+ panel.
The Redmi 9 Prime also features the powerful MediaTek Helio G80 chipset. This gaming processor is paired with 4GB of RAM and you get either 64GB or 128GB of storage, although the 64GB option comes in our budget. The Redmi 9 Prime runs MIUI 11 based on Android 10 and gets a fair amount of bloatware.

The Redmi 9 Prime has a quad-camera setup, consisting of a 13-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 5-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Camera performance is average overall. You will get good battery life thanks to the 5,020mAh battery, but you get 10W in the box, due to which charging is a bit slow.
