A Boeing 777 flight took off for Japan from San Francisco International Airport. Everything was going well. The plane took off smoothly but two moments later one of its wheels came off and fell down. This wheel fell on the car parking which destroyed the car parked below. Not only this, since the wheel had jumped, it damaged other cars nearby. It was fortunate that no one got hurt in this.
The video is going viral on the internet. It can be seen in the video that as soon as the United Airlines plane took off, its wheel started falling on the ground. Airport staff present on the spot say that the wheel jumped and fell on the parked car. It damaged many cars.
Similar incidents have recently led to quality control disputes with Boeing. Just a few days ago, the window of a Boeing plane had fallen out in mid-air. This was a Boeing 737 Max 9 aircraft. The incident took place in Portland, Oregon. It is fortunate that no one was harmed in this incident. Regulators in America had given Boeing 90 days to work on the quality issue. The company says that Boeing 777 has 6 wheels mounted on landing struts. Even if one or two of these wheels get damaged due to some reason, the plane can land safely. After this incident, the flight was safely landed in Los Angeles.
