BSNL 4G Network will be upgraded to 5G by tcs, Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel

The country’s largest software company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has reported that it will upgrade the 4G network of the government telecom company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) to 5G. BSNL has a target to start about one lakh 4G sites by the middle of this year. After this, the company’s 5G network will be launched.

A media Report In the TCS Advisor (Telecom Strategic Initiatives) and the Chairman of Tejas Networks, NG Subramaniam quoted, “After choosing bands and special sites for BSNL’s 5G, after choosing, TCS will upgrade. We have demonstrated this ability. . The right spectrum band is being discussed for this upgrade. TCS has supplied radio equipment for BSNL’s 4G network. This equipment can be updated to 5G with upgrade to software.

BSNL has spectrum in 700 MHz, 900 MHz, 2,100 MHz, 2,500 MHz and 3,500 MHz frequency bands. The company had tendered for more than 1,800 5G sites in the Delhi-NCR region. Three companies – Tejas Networks, Lekha Wireless and Galore Network have been bid for this tender. Tata Sons has a major stake in Tejas Networks. The TCS -led consortium installing 4G sites for BSNL includes Tejas Networks.

In November last year, BSNL gave a tender for the 5G network. The company plans to launch 5G network using 900 MHz low-band and 3.5 GHz mid-band spectrum. In the last few months, the company has increased the pace of launch of its 4G network. About 65,000 4G sites of BSNL have been activated. The company has used technology made in the country for this network. Recently, BSNL Chairman, Robert J Ravi said that it is also important to ensure the completion of minimum quality of services (QOS) parameters after installing 4G sites. For this, the company has deployed a team in each circle. The company has used 700 MHz spectrum for 4G network.
