BSNL KYC Sim Scam Fake Notice Trai Warning Pib Fact Check Do Donts

If you have also received a message or notice recently that your SIM may be closed because you have not updated the KYC, and it has been sent in the name of BSNL or TRAI, be careful. This is a completely fake notice. It has been made clear from the government that BSNL has not issued any such notice and TRAI has nothing to do with it.

Pib Fact Check has warned people with its official X (Twitter) handle, calling this message fake. The tweet said, “Have you also received a notice allegedly from BSNL, claiming that the customer’s KYC has been suspended by @TRAI and the SIM card will be blocked within 24 hours? Be careful! This notice is #Fake.”

Further, it has also been told that BSNL never sends notice in this way. At the same time, users have been urged not to share their personal or bank details with anyone.

The image of the notice has also been shared, which states that the user’s KYC has been suspended and if the call is not made in 24 hours, the SIM card will be blocked. Also, a call number and the name of ‘KYC Verification Executive’ has also been given, so that the notice looks real. But after looking carefully, it is clear that there are many disturbances in its language, layout and information.
